It is also sure that the presence of the two child artists will help the movie Bhaskar the Rascal to attract the children to the theaters in this vishu .The Mega Star again hits the stars after a long interval , with his mind blowing performance in this movie and the combination of Mammootty and the one and only Nayanthara helped the star director to deliver a class comedy entertainer to the Malayalam Film Industry.
The movie Bhaskar the Rascal starts with a vacation camp in a famous school in the city and Aadi ( Master Sanoop) and Shivani ( Baby Anikha) are attending the vacation camp there. Aadi’ s father Bhaskar (Mammootty) compelled him to attend the karate class and Bhaskar is a businessman without any high education qualifications . He fights with everybody who does something wrong in his view. Thus in the starting of the movie , the students who are attending the vacation camp with Aadi got a chance for a free demonstration of fight by Bhaskar due to some business problems of him.
Aadi never likes the living style of his father .Bhaskar is a business man and also a widower who lead his life with his only son and father. Bhaskar’ s father Banker Sankarara Narayanan (Janardhanan ) was also a good business man . In the flashback of the story ,it is said that due to some financial problems Sankarara Narayanan failed in the business and it was Bhaskar who fought and capture the .life back . Bhaskar is now running the whole business only in the name of his father. Bhaskar always reacts harshly to everybody and that is why he is called as rascal and that is the title of the movie. Aadi is trying to teach some good manners to his father in the first half and the comedy scenes related to this make the movie interesting.
One day Bhaskar went to Thiruvanathapuram with his son Aadi for receiving the National Best Student Award and there he meets the famous actress Rani Kabeer (Isha Thalwar) in the function . Rani was the chief guest and the media thought that the would be of the actress was Bhaskar and that also made many problems in the life of Bhaskar.
Aadi’ s best friend Shivani is the daugher of Hima ( Nayanthara ) and Shivani lost her father Sanjay Sharma ( J D Chakravarthi) before her birth in an encounter in Mumbai. Hima is doing chocolate business now and she used to meet Bhaskar in the school with her daugher Shivani but Hima did not like his character. But Shivani likes Bhaskar and she even calls him Pappa and she also has a plan in her mind to connect her mummy and the father of Aadi.
The underworld relations of Sanjay Sharma changes the tone of the movie in the second half and it resembles a bollywood movie later. A team is always with Bhaskar and he has to solve their problems also . Harisree Asokan , Kalabhavan Shajon , Pashanam Shaji are the main supporting actors of the mega star in the movie but the performance of Pashanam Shaji is simply superb. Thus the director cum script writer Siddique presented the story of Bhaskar and Hima in a simple manner
It is very clear that the director , who is the star of the show really targeted the vacation audience and he succeeded in creating a festival mood in the movie Bhaskar the Rascal . As usual , the Mega Star did a wonderful job in his acting and that is the highlight of the movie. Nayanthara also performed greatly as Hima and Isha Talwar also performed her part well in this movie as Rani Kabeer. The performance of the child artists are also simply awesome !
Anto Joseph is the producer of Bhaskar the Raskal. The technical side of the movie is also perfect . The songs composed by the Music director Deepak Dev are already placed in the top position of the hit charts. The director Siddique already admitted that the super hit song ‘I Love You Mummy’ of this movie is inspired from an Arabic album and thus the controversy behind the song is over before the release itself. The editing work of K.R.Gowri Shanker and the cinematography of Vijay Ulaganath are also to be appreciated.
After a long time the Mega Star Mammookka did a special job for his fans and also for his family audience and that is the real reason behind the success of the Malayalam movie Bhaskar the Rascal.
