Most of the Paddy fields are not using for cultivation now..I am from Ernakulam..Perumbavoor exactly..Earlier these lands were owned by very few people and they used it for mass production, but now they sold/partitioned (within family) for too many people; now its now not possible for the owner to get a profit by cultivating alone from a small portion. also today's generation are not interested in group farming. Some are converting the land for cultivating other vegetables (without any planning) and some left it without doing anything ..The government should borrow such lands and lease it to people who wants farming..
