Most of coutries are not doing that including here in canada ...only serous hospital admitted patients need negetive confirmatory ..any body mild symptoms or asymptomatic no more test ..after 14 days they are free ..I think most of Indian states do same as per icmr instructions...

Here in UAE they are doing it for mild effected person. They can go back to work only after 2 negative result. My friends all done like this out of this only was admitted in hospital rest of them have mild symptoms only. They were not admitted in hospital also. Just stayed in home and took medicine.
some doesn’t even have fever but still followed 2 test to confirm negative.

It is for controlling spread and make sure patient is covid free while comeback to work

Studies shown once symptoms are completely gone plus 14 days after covid confirmation no body can trasmitted disease specialy those with mild infection and less viral load ...they may still show as positive after 14 days ..but it is only some dna fragment not active virus ..multiple studies by culturing this virus fragment in a culture media confirms almost zero chance infecting anybody at that stage ..still may be good to check ..but so far studies show otherwise
