Dilip is an actor who proved that six-feet height or a six-pack body is not a mandate for becoming a superstar. No one would have dreamt that a-once-skinny guy, who used to make us laugh with his on-screen comedies, would one day turn out to be the king of Malayalam cinema. While Dilip elevated his career graph by delivering super hits, it was an occasion for his fans to celebrate. The entry of young directors or the new style of movies have not affected Dilip at all. He speaks to Manorama Online. You have been delivering hits continuously with your last 4 5 movies. This is the problem with media. I had 13 hits in 2003, followed by several hits in the continuing years. You will not talk about it now. You will talk only about the recent 4 or 5 movies. What do you think of your latest hit Sringaravelan?A mass entertainer. I have no claims about it. You are referred to by some, as Kamalhassan of Malayalam movie industry. What do you think of it?Whatever people say, Kamalhassan is a legend of Indian cinema. I am an ordinary person who comes from a village in Kerala. I could grow with the cinema as my characters were always accepted by viewers. Your new projects?Currently I am working on Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal by Lal Jose. Will work for Rafis movie after that.About your character in Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal?I enact the role of Eby, an ad film director. Lalus movies are like family projects. Its a film where the technicians, including director and scriptwriter are important. You are known to maintain very good personal relationships with everyone. I interact with people, holding on to my virtues like sincerity and respect to everyone. But I have felt that I am one person with a lot of enemies as well. I have faced such behaviour from many. Your take on Manju Warriers re-entry into films? No comments.
Eagerly waiting for mega mass movie " PULIMURUKAN"
