Apart from the advantage it is turning in fast pace to be a big headache to the industry. Fans take out their war in to highest level resulting in spreading negative opinion even to watchable movies. It is disheartening to see full reviews are spread even though the FDFS are not completed. Gangster was the victim in recent time and now Mr Fraud. It is the stars who should ultimately intervene and promote the industry. Seen that during Drishyam and no time lost, still time.
Mr Fraud much awaited film Mohanlal – B Unnikrishnan teams gets in to mixed opinion. Unnikrishnan through his FB page claims, his latest flick has potentials of a profit earner and admit frankly it as a mass entertainer. Unnikrishan basically treated as an elite intelligentsia among the counterparts in the industry and his stature generates different expectation not a mass entertainer and he should be careful enough when in selection of plots. This Mohanlal starer opened in around 87 screens in Kerala and another 60 plus screens across the country. Being a weekend release it got off to flying start and maintained on next days as well. Since the WOM was not encouraging the collection started to dip around 20 to 30 % in week days in semi urban centers and keeping big cities status reasonably well. Collects around 3.65 crore in initial five days. The next week may not be promising due to the release of Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyan .
How Old Are You , what a comeback for erstwhile lady Super Star Manjuwarrior. It is an instant hit and ladies thronged to theaters to see a film of their own. Roshan Adrews with ample support of script writer Bobby –Sanjay brings out the best of Manju who holds on the film in her shoulder. Very rarely we get to see woman oriented movies and this one breaks box office with a bang. Released in around 75 screens the movie captures 2.90 crore in five days. It was released relatively small screen in many of the centers which in turn limited the first week boost. Expect from second week onwards this film finds larger capacity screens. This film is getting strength to strength as it is the hot favorite of the season, surely next week’s number one.
Manju’s victory coincide the Dilip’s amazing performance at box office. Ring master covers 10,000 shows , another land mark his career. Every year he has a film which crosses this huge show count. Collects around 11 crore . But Manju may put sudden break to the Dilip’s movie run since the target audience is same.
