Supposed images of a Nokia Lumia smartwatch leak, revealing a black mysterious device
Did you know Nokia is working on a smartwatch? Neither did we though we have heard some rumblings in the past of such a project. Even Microsoft themselves are rumored to be re-entering a market they pretty much created years ago (hello, SPOT!).
Now, two photos have leaked on to the microblogging site Sina weibo that allegedly reveal a prototype device. The story was run by the site Ctech, who have previously unearthed details on unreleased Nokia devices in the past. The source of the actual images ranks high for them, but since there is little corroborating information, it is difficult to verify at this time.
Actual details about the rumored device are sparse, including any features. But from the images themselves, we can see a black, possibly polycarbonate body with a clear Nokia logo. There is no strap attached and the display can hardly be seen. From the second image, you clearly seen the curve at the bottom to wrap around a wrist—at least that’s what it appears to be.
There’s also no word on the status of the device. There’s good reason to believe it’s an in-house project by Nokia, since many companies are now looking to wearable technology as the “next big thing”. In fact, Samsung just launched theirs this week. But currently, we don’t know if this project—if real—is going forward, especially with the Nokia / Microsoft deal looming.

Report: Patent Case With Nokia Forces HTC To Rework HTC One’s Chip Design In The US
We all know that Nokia and HTC are fighting it out in the court related to patent infringement. Last week, U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled that HTC infringes two nokia patents that are related to method for receiving and transmitting radio signals, and a method for eliminating unwanted signals. Since there is a possibility of HTC devices getting banned in the US, HTC is working with Qualcomm on reworking a radio chip for the HTC One, reports Wall Street Journal.
I saw some comments that once the Microsoft-Nokia deal is completed, HTC and Microsoft can work on these patent issues. The real fact is that, even after the Microsoft-Nokia deal, Nokia will still own most of the patents and the on going patent battle with other companies with continue. I hope HTC soon settles the issue with Nokia and starts focusing on the devices.

Nokia Lumia 1020 now up for pre-order in India for Rs. 49,999
Nokia has finally revealed the pricing of its flagship cameraphone, the Lumia 1020, which is up for pre-order for Rs. 49,999 on Nokia's Indiatimes portal. The site mentions the release date to be third week of October. As a promotional offer, Nokia is offering the WH-530 stereo headphone worth Rs. 2,999 free with the every pre-order of the Lumia 1020.
The company officially unveiled the Lumia 1020 at an event in Delhi last week. However, the Lumia 1020's price was not revealed at the launch, and was scheduled to be announced on October 10, a day before the official release in India. It looks like both these pieces of information on pricing and availability were wrong, with the price now revealed, and the third week of October the official release date.
The Nokia Lumia 1020's display boasts of a pixel density of 332 PPI. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and runs Windows Phone 8. Nokia has also added some camera software including the Nokia Pro Camera app and Smart Camera Mode. It also offers a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera, and comes with 32GB built-in storage, which is non-expandable.
