Celebrate Festival of Lights with new Nokia Lumia

New render of Verizon Lumia 929 comes forward, believed to also be Lumia 1320 variant
A new render of the Nokia Lumia 929 has been leaked on the Chinese micro-blogging website, Weibo. The render is the same as we've seen previously from other accounts, but details have also emerged that we could well be looking at the Lumia 1320 for regions outside the US. Nokia is set to unveil numerous handsets and other hardware at its Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi later this month.
Codenamed "Batman," the Lumia 1320 would be positioned in between the Lumia 1020 and Lumia 1520 Windows Phones. Offering consumers a clear choice with multiple screen sizes, it would make sense for Verizon's Lumia 929 to be launched outside the US under a different name. We could well be looking at another Lumia 909 and Lumia 1020 situation here.
[Update: Tom Warren from the Verge thinks the 'Batman' phone is something other than the Lumia 1320].
What we do know is Verizon will be looking to launch the Lumia 929 in early November for the off-contract price of $500. Sporting a display size in the 5-inch range, the Lumia 929 / Lumia 1320 would be a welcomed addition to the Windows Phone family by those who wish to have a larger handset than the 1020, but not as monstrous as the Lumia 1520.
We'll have more details at Nokia World.
Nokia readying 'Batman' Windows Phone with a large screen
While Nokia is preparing to release a Lumia 525 at the very low end focused on music, the company is also readying a large-screen handset in the same budget category. Twitter account Evleaks first published the "Batman" codename, and sources familiar with Nokia's plans have revealed to The Verge that a handset will fit into Nokia's portfolio of devices just above the existing Lumia 625. Nokia picked a 4.7-inch display for the 625, and we're told that the company will ship Batman with a large-screen too.
We understand that the handset is designed as the top low-end Windows Phone, but the specs will be similar to the existing Lumia 625. Nokia is said to be including a 5-megapixel rear camera on the Batman and a forward-facing VGA camera. Although it's a low-end device, Nokia is planning to ship it with its new Nokia Camera app that combines the Pro and Smart Cam features of its existing apps. The Batman will likely debut later this year and it joins other devices including the 6-inch Lumia 1520 and a 5-inch Lumia 929. Nokia's Lumia 1520 and Lumia 929 devices will sit alongside the Lumia 1020 as the high-end Windows Phones for this holiday season.
