Daivathinte Swantam Cleetus : An unexpected
Entertainer.

After seeing the first look poster and trailer of
Daivathinte Swantam Cleetus, I was much
disappointed to see mammukka in that new
Avatar and my expectations on this movie went
down. Anyway, I watched it today with zero
expectations. I think because of that, the movie
satisfied me.

Synopsis: As a part of raising fund for helping
poor people, Ft. Sunny Vadakkumtala decides to
conduct a 'Light & Sound show' which is similar
to a drama. He wants an actor who can do the
role of Jesus Christ for his show. He then finds
Cleetus and he appoints Cleetus for doing the
role of Jesus Christ. The series of incidents which
occur in the village after the arrival of Cleetus
forms the rest of the movie.

In the making side, Mammukka gives another
debut director for Malayalam film Industry.
Marthaandan marks a good debut in direction
through this movie. He has all the formulaes for
making a movie entertainable. We can expect
more mass entertaining movies from him. In the
scripting side, Benny P Nayarambalam used his
usual techniques to make a fun movie and he
succeed to an extend. Climax might not satisy
some viewers since it was an experimental one.
Anyway, when compared to his recent scripts
(Spanish Masala & Sound Thoma), this script is
better. Bgm got sync with the scenes well. Two
songs were fine. On the negative side, 2nd half
looses track at some scenes.

On the acting side, Mammukka did an energetic
performance in the role of Cleetus. On seeing
his first look posters of the movie, I felt a bit
annoying. But that problem was overcame on
seeing this movie. This movie gives a mass role
of Mammukka after a short while. There are
enough scenes of Mammukka for cheering up
his fans. Suraj got another prominent role in
this movie after 'Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttyum'
and he done this role neatly without any typical
suraj comedies. Role for Honey Rose doesn't
suits her. Sanam Shetty was charming through
out, even though her dubbing was bad. Rest of
the cast includes Siddhique, Aju Varghese, Rejith
Menon, Tesni Khan etc. handled their roles in a
decent way.

Overall, Daivathinte Swantam Cleetus will be a
clean entertainer for all Mammukka fans, and
for others, this will satisfy you if you go with
less expectations. Definitely a one time watch
for all. All Mammukka fans make sure that you
catch up with this movie.
