Many fans are saying he is a good Manager ..can manage low/mid budget teams superbly ..but not at a club like Man Utd where the level of expectation is too much...we may see him managing Aston Villa or West Ham or even Spurs ..and could be successful even
should never have extended rooney's contract, that too at 300k/week.

It is very clear that as per his contract clauses, the minimum expected of him was to guide the team to CL qualification. He must have been given this target and he knew exactly what to expect if he failed.
The summer kit wud have been his if man united was in top 4.

I think Moyes cannot say he didn't know the consequences.

Man Utd: Sir Alex Ferguson to help select David Moyes's replacement

Sir Alex Ferguson will play a key role in selecting David Moyes's replacement as Manchester United

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27123088

United are looking to appoint an experienced manager who has a history of signing top-class players and managing them.

With Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola appearing to be out of reach, Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti are reported to be the leading contenders to take the reins at United.

Whoever takes over from Moyes could have about £100m to invest in rebuilding the squad.

Chelsea: Jose Mourinho wants to rest key players against Liverpool

Jose Mourinho says he wants to rest key players for Chelsea's trip to Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

Liverpool are five points clear of Chelsea with three games left and Mourinho wants to focus on the Blues' Champions League semi-final, which is 0-0 after Tuesday's first leg.

"I would play the players that are not going to play next Wednesday [against Atletico Madrid]," he said.

"I can't decide by myself. I'm just the manager. I have to listen to the club."

maybe they didnt expect such a poor performance...finishing in top 4 would have been a minimal expectation...hence the 6 year contract with real intention of a long term manager...

thats right..he is a very good manager for a team who want to consistently finish in top half of table and sporadic good runs in cup competitions.. newcastlw wud be a good destination..and i think personally he will end up there as newcastle is quite close to scotland..

or he may even go for a stint with celtic to be at 'home'..

3 or 4 months into the season Man Utd chief Executive had stated that the club is well prepared to be without UCL for a season or two if it takes that long to rebuild...All that is gone with the wind now.....The thing is that they didn't fire Moyes before it became mathematically clear that they wudn't qualify for UCL just to activate that clause in his contract..They cud have done with him before but they tried to save a few millions by delaying it..I personally don't find it great management from the club..Anyway its Man Utd...
