West Bromwich Albion have received an apology from Mike Riley over the injury-time penalty decision that cost them victory over Chelsea.

The referees' boss has communicated his feelings to the club in the wake of the spot-kick which sparked a melee after the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

An apology doesn't give West Brom their first PL win at Stamford Bridge in almost 30 years, doesn't pay dividend to the players' commitment and desire to win the game, and most importantly, doesn't give them all the three points which the players deserved!
