But Fulham battled back bravely in the second half to level matters through Kieran Richardson's goal and Kompany's comedy own goal.
However, City responded in style as substitutes Jesus Navas and James Milner struck late on to save their captain's blushes and maintain their good run of form.
surprised how that happened. it was the blooper of the season. nothing great about City's performance. Kompany's goal for ManC was a nice result after a calculated approach of ball-pass. The own goal that levelled the game rattled City. Since it was a bottom-table club, there was chance for redemption. City performance was, overall, poor.

considering it is at Emirates; Wenger would want to wash off the Etihad debacle; Chelsea's inconsistent form and Arsenal's dream-run, expecting the Gunners to win unless the Blues become lucky.

Arsenal 2-2 Chelsea 12/12/04, Premier League

Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal 20/04/05, Premier League

Wenger's side held Chelsea to a goalless draw at the Bridge to delay the Blues' attempts at picking up the Premier League title. It did not matter - they won it 10 days later by beating Bolton.

Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal 07/08/05, Community Shield

Didier Drogba, a man who would become Arsenal's nemesis for the best part of the next decade, struck a fine brace to win Chelsea the Community Shield. Cesc Fabregas notched for the Gunners, but it was not enough.

Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal 21/08/05, Premier League

And later on in the same month it was Drogba again who won Mourinho the points - his lucky 'shin' goal fooling Jens Lehmann and rolling in.

Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea 18/12/05, Premier League

Mourinho's side showed their dominance with a 2-0 victory away from home, with wingers Joe Cole and Arjen Robben making the difference for the Blues. It kept them flying in the title race and was yet another setback for Arsenal.

Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal 10/12/06, Premier League
Wenger nearly got one over Mourinho here, but for a magnificent strike by Michael Essien. Arsenal took a 78th minute lead, through Mathieu Flamini, but Chelsea's Ghanaian midfielder bent an incredible strike in from outside the box. The game was also notable for some pushing, shoving and diving antics between Lehmann and Drogba.

Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal 25/02/07, League Cup Final
Drogba scored two brilliant goals, while Theo Walcott notched his first for Arsenal. There were three red cards and an on-pitch scrap. You can relive it all HERE. http://dailym.ai/19OIXWe

Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea 06/05/07, Premier League

The last time Mourinho and Wenger met, the result handed Manchester United their first Premier League title since 2003. The Blues had defender Khalid Boulahrouz sent off for fouling Julio Baptista in the box, with Gilberto Silva converting the resultant penalty. But in the second half Mourinho's side fought back, with Essien heading home to equalise.

Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea 29/10/13, League Cup
Mourinho's hoodoo over Wenger continued in his second spell in west London as Chelsea sent Arsenal crashing out of the Capital One Cup. Cesar Azpilicueta gave Chelsea the lead in the first half and then Juan Mata made sure of the Blues' progression into the quarter-finals with a brilliantly taken goal from the edge of the box in the second half.

Ross Barkley...what a talent...Probably the best talent to come out of Merseyside after Stevie G...His stocks are rising with each minute he plays...Pretty sure Liverpool would have tried to sign him up earlier, but he seems Everton through and through...
