Starting with a gripping narration of a true story two years ago, through a very testing yet ultimately very rewarding filming process to this day when we as a team are so overwhelmed with joy to present you with an incredible story of love.
I am grateful first and foremost to Kanchana chechi. For without her willingness to share her story with the world, we would have missed out on witnessing what, I truly believe, is a true account of love and companionship that transcends all mortal barriers. I'm also grateful to B.P.Moideen's family members who supported us in our efforts all along.
I salute R.S.Vimal's vision and rock solid determination that got him through over six years of research and writing to filming this story as truthfully as he could. I thank his superb team of assistants who helped him immensely in every department.
Kudos to the Art department led by Gokul Das and Costume department led by Kumar Edappal who took on the challenge of a period set-up head on and oh, how well they have done their part! To my lovely and very patient make-up team led by Ranjith Ambady and Ambujam chechi who did my hairstyling to make me look as close as I could to Kanchanamala- a big thanks!!
I am glad that as a young cinematographer of incredible calibre, Jomon saw the artistic value in the making of this story and yet again delivered a meaningful and aesthetic visual narrative. Our generous musicians, M.Jayachandran Sir, Gopi Sundar and Ramesh Narayan Sir, words cannot express how grateful I am for the soul-stirring music that they have gifted us with. And of course, in the hands of a meticulously devoted editor such as Mahesh Narayan, I am not surprised how well our efforts have shaped up at the cutting table.
This wasn't smooth sailing for us. Not at all. But I have immense respect for all my team mates who stuck through thick and thin with each other.
However, the biggest salute goes to the brave producers Binoy Shankarath, Surest Raj and Ragy Thomas from Newton Movies. Without their unshakeable faith in the story and our capabilities, ENM would not have been a reality. Thank you!!
This is our humble tribute to B.P.Moideen and Kanchanamala.
Here is wishing my team a very good day at the theatres.
And to everyone who is going to watch the movie, I sincerely hope that you will witness true love!
