╠►IRANDAM ULAGAM◄╣-Arya&Anushka shetty With Selvaraghavan-Released with mixed reports
Irandam Ulagam (Tamil: இரண்டாம் உலகம்; English: The Second World) is an upcoming Tamil romantic drama film directed by Selvaraghavan. It stars Arya along with Anushka Shetty, and features music scored by Harris Jayaraj while the cinematography is handled by Ramji. The film is produced and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures. In October 2006, the film was reported to be in planning with Karthi, whose first film was yet to release at the time, and Sandhya being signed on.The film titled Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam consequently began its shoot in November 2006 and was produced by R. Ravindran and White Elephants, Selvaraghavan's new production house in collaboration with cinematographer Arvind Krishna and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Furthermore noted theatre actor, Y. Gee. Mahendra was signed on to play the role of a modern-age father in the film. However after a brief filming schedule, the film failed to progress and Selvaraghavan, Ravindran and Karthi moved to make another film, Aayirathil Oruvan, in place of it. During the period, the production house White Elephant also collapsed, after Selvaraghavan fell out with both his partners. The film was relaunched on 7 November 2008 and filming started with a new cast of Dhanush and Andrea Jeremiah in the leading roles. Following his split with his original technical team, Ramji and G. V. Prakash Kumar had taken over the responsibilities of being the cinematographer and music director respectively. The film was described to be a quick project with Selvaraghavan and Dhanush's sister, Vimalageetha taking up the production reins. However, filming was stalled for unknown reasons as Selvaraghavan continued with the same team with Aayirathil Oruvan. After a period of little activity the film was announced as shelved in June 2009 due to Selvaraghavan's other commitments. In August 2009, the film was launched again for the third time with a first schedule planned in Hyderabad and intentions of completing the film within fifty days for a February 2010 release.Selvaraghavan and Prakash Kumar went to Amsterdam later that month to compose six songs for the film. However the film was yet again abandoned in October 2009 as Selvaraghavan left to complete Aayirathil Oruvan and begin another film with Vikram and Swati Reddy, which also failed to progress after its first schedule. The film began shoots for the fourth time on 27 June 2010 with the same cast, but a changed title of Maruvan. Filming was held with the lead pair at Jeppiaar Engineering College in Chennai as the film began to progress quickly. The crew revealed that a difficult ten day schedule was completed in September 2010, with the team only sleeping four hours per night to complete it.The title later was changed to Irandam Ulagam and in a turn of events, Yuvan Shankar Raja replaced Prakash Kumar as music composer in the film, with the latter reporting it was due to "money and time issues".In January 2011, the director revealed that "70 per cent" of the film was over and later that month, the rights of the film were purchased by UTV Motion Pictures. However, in a sensational turn, Prakash Kumar was assigned again as composer after Yuvan Shankar Raja moved out of the project as he was busy with other commitments and could not give priority to Selvaraghavan, who was in rush to complete the film and move over to his next project, Vishwaroopam. The film ran into trouble yet again after lead actress Andrea Jeremiah pulled out of the film, citing differences with the director and consequently Selvarghavan moved on to do a film titled Mayakkam Enna featuring Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay, who had initially been signed to do another film with the director.Initially reports suggested that Richa had replaced Andrea but reports that both projects were the same proved to be untrue.Music composer Harris Jayaraj posted on Twitter in May 2011 that he had signed to compose in a Telugu film of the same script to be directed Selvaraghavan featuring Allu Arjun and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. In September 2011, it was revealed that Selvaraghavan had opted to make the film in Tamil instead of Telugu and had roped in Arya and Anushka Shetty to play the lead roles in the film and he hoped to restart the shoot of the film in October 2011. Meanwhile, Harris Jayaraj was confrimed to be a part of the project as the music director, again replacing Prakash Kumar.Selvaraghavan had stated that the film will commence shooting in december

Itsy Bitsy: All work for Anushka
Anushka Shetty seems to be the new flavour of Kollywood. Post-Deivathirumagal, the actor has her hands full. While she is fast completing director Selvaraghavan's Irandam Ulagam with Arya in the lead, Anushka has signed a movie with Karthi, to be directed by Suraaj. Incidentally, Anushka is also doing a cameo in Karthi's Saguni, as well as in another film Thulli Ezhunthathu Kaadhal. This is not all, the charming actor is working in a Malayalam film and is reportedly doing a parallel role with Amala Paul in director Hari's next with Suriya in the lead. Film-goers will remember Anushka's earlier outing with Suriya in the superhit Singam.
Love and marriage
It's common that during courtship, everything seems hunky-dory. Love takes precedence and compromises don't matter. . “But problems arise after marriage with change in priorities and increasing family pressure. When tension mounts love becomes elusive. My film Satrendru Maaruthu Vaanilai deals with marital issues in a light-hearted manner,” says director Ravi Perumal. The film, which will release soon, stars Sanjay (Thaandva Kone) and Roseminta along with Amit and Nasser.
One for the family
For four generations in two families there has been a tradition of marrying within the families but one of the children from the current generation breaks the convention. This leads to misunderstanding and tension between the two families. Cinematographer-turned-director Rajendran's Kondaan Koduthaan is a family story replete with sentiments. Starring Kathir and Advaitha, it is set in a rural background.
Best of both worlds
Who is directing who? They are both actors and directors, having established their credentials in both fields. But, this time one turns to acting (director M. Sasikumar) and the other takes up direction (Samuthirakkani). Poraali, written and directed by Samuthirakkani focuses on everyday situations and how we deal with them. “When we act in each other's films, we become a complete actor. Sasikumar follows every bit of the script and the requirements of his character to ensure that the director's vision is translated onto the screen,” says Samuthirakkani. He is looking forward to the next project in which he and Sasikumar with share the screen.

It's 'Irandam Ulagam' for Arya - Anushka
As earlier reported, Selvaraghavan after finishing work on 'Mayakkam Enna' will start work on his next with Arya and Anushka. The latest is that, this script is none other than the long due 'Irandam Ulagam', which went on floors of late with Dhanush and Andrea and was dropped after Andrea walked out for reasons undisclosed.
Arya and Anushka have signed on the dotted lines for 'Irandam Ulagam' and the film will start rolling by the end of this year, around November.
It may be mentioned that Arya is currently busy with work on 'Vettai', Anushka with 'Viswaroopam' with Kamal and a few other projects while Selvaraghavan is busy with work on 'Mayakkam Enna' which is now touted to see a pre-Diwali release.
Once work on 'Mayakkam Enna' is completed, an official announcement on 'Irandam Ulagam' with Arya and Anushka will be made, where also other details on the cast and crew will be divulged. What do you think about this latest pair in tinsel town? Post your feedback in here!

Selvaragavan speaks about 'Aayirathil Oruvan 2'
His 'Mayakkam Enna' will hit the screens in less than 24 hours. Optimistic that the movie would strike a chord with the audience, Selvaraghavan is also thinking about one of his forthcoming projects, which is a sequel to his critically acclaimed venture, 'Aayirathil Oruvan'.
"I can not talk much about Aayirathil Oruvan 2 now. All that I can say is my father Kasthuri Raja will be producing it and the film will be a total surprise to one and all. I will cast Dhanush in this project if he could give me call-sheet for six months at a stretch," the director says.
Talking about 'Mayakkam Enna', he says, "It is a feel good and warm movie. But Mayakkam Enna cannot be classified under a particular genre. Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay have shared a beautiful chemistry, with G V Prakash's music adding to the feel."
The immediate venture of Selvaraghavan is going to be 'Irandam Ulagam', a bilingual which has Arya and Anushka in lead roles. To be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, the movie is said to be a romantic entertainer, but a straight contrast from Selva's earlier movies.

Anushka is a good performer: Selvaraghavan | Deccan Chronicle
Despite his hectic 24/7 promotional whirl for his recently released Mayakkam Enna, Selvaraghavan will be quickly moving on to his next, Irandam Ulagam.
A bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, the movie has Arya and Anushka Shetty in the lead. Sources inform DC that the film is a fantasy period film along the lines of Gladiator and Maghadeera.
A joyful Selva remarks, “Irandam… is a challenging script. It’s an intriguing genre which has everything — love, adventure, action, period backdrop and special effects”.
Anushka, he says, “is a very good performer. I blocked her dates long back. As for Arya, he suits the role a hundred per cent!”
The best part is that a 120 page final draft of the script has been given to all the ADs and the cinematographer as well as the cast, an indication of the thoroughness of Selva’s planning as well as a pointer to the fact that the movie will be completed on time.
