Sonam Kapoor is likely to reunite with Salman Khan 'Saawariya’

Bollywood beauty Sonam Kapoor is likely to reunite with superstar Salman Khan for Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film after her debut ‘Saawariya’.
“We are working on the dates… 99 per cent we will decide about the leading lady in a day or two. Most likely, it is Sonam who is going to act in the film,” said a source from Rajshree productions.
The makers of the film had apparently approached actress Deepika Padukone for the leading role but things did not materialise due to date issues.
The film is likely to go on floors in June this year. Salman Khan made a guest appearance as Sonam Kapoor’s love interest in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed ‘Saawariya’ which marked the debut of both Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in 2007.

Salman Khan to play a double role in Sooraj Barjatya’s film?

It will be a double bonanza for Salman Khan fans. The superstar will reportedly play a double role in Sooraj Barjatya's film. Though rest of the cast is not yet decided, it is learnt that Salman will be in twin avatar. It is also learned that Salman is very excited about this movie as it will bring him back with the director after a gap of 15 years.

Quoting a source, a Mid-Day report says that this move will be different from Sooraj Barjatya's trademark films. The filmmaker is still working on the script and the subject of the film is very close to his father's heart. The report adds that the film is about royalty where a leading actress will play the role of a princess.

It is also said that the film was first offered to Deepika Padukone. However, she refused because of date issues. Now industry rumours say that Sonam might be signed for the movie.

Slated for a Diwali release next year, the shooting will commence from May at ND Studios in Karjat.
