Silent,Hard-Hitting Road Trip Through The Unexplored!

Imtiaz Ali surprisingly chose the path unexplored,unconventional to narrate the story of deep bondage that arise between a convict and the kidnapper.The result is an engrossing cinematic odyssey through the minds of the protagonists which has a poetic aura.Highway is a thoroughly enjoyable ride with some stellar performances,master-class score by the music maestro A.R.R & astonishing visuals by Anil Mehta.With forced lengthy sequences,silent pauses & liberal use of natural sounds,the movie feels more like an Independent Film which upholds that "'when the world around you makes you feel cob-webbed,even an abduction without a clear destination too can be a reason for serenity".Eventhough the movie is devoid of elements of masala,the focused direction by Imtiaz ensures that the movie never loses its hold on the viewers throughout its running time.Alia Bhatt advertises her acting skills & mesmerizes with a brilliant performance which makes an everlasting impression in the minds of the viewers.Anil Mehta has done his best to capture the real essence of the unexplored wilds of Himachal & Kashmir,The golden beauty of Punjab,Haryana & the easily obsessive Rajsthan.Overall,Highway is a journey of reinvnetion which never bores you for a split second.
