Sapthamashree Thaskaraha is one of the much awaited movie among the Onam releases. The movie stars Prithviraj, Reenu Mathews, Asif Ali, Sanusha, Neeraj Madhav, Nedumudi Venu, Chemban Vinod, Flower Battsetseg, Sudheer Karamana, Salam Bukhari etc. Sapthamashree Thaskaraha is helmed by Anil Radhakrishnan afte 24 North Kaatham. Music is composed by Rex Vijayan of Aviyal fame. Sapthamashree Thaskaraha is produced by August Cinema.
Krishnanunni (Prithviraj) is a thief who is under imprisonment. He then makes friends with six other petty thieves named Nobilettan (Nedumudi venu), Shabab (Asif Ali), Narayankutty (Neeraj Madhav), Martin (Chemban Vinod), Basha (Salam Bukhari). All the six of them are crafted in the art of thievery in their own way. During their jail term they plans for a robberry hiest to make a lump sum enough to get settled in their life. The plan is to rob blind from towns top most rich man (Joy Mathew). The seventh thief is a mangolian acrobat recruited by Krishnanunni and team. Sarah (Reenu Mathews) is the wife of Krishnanunni and school teacher while Annamma (Shanusha) is the Daughter od Nobilettan. Rest of the movie revolves around the questions wheather their robberry heist will be successful or they would be trapped.

Cast is one of the most important ingredient of the cinema as the audiance experience cinema through the cast. Here, the cast is of the best line up recently seen in Malayalam after Apothecary. Prithviraj handles the Trissur slang with ease. Reenu Mathews walked straight to heart with the bold and strong character of Sarah. The seven thieves are the best gang in the industry so far. Most feared problem with a movie like Sapthamashree Thaskaraha is that over crowding the screen space as all the seven theives are so important. But here Anil Radhakrishnan managed to make their screen prescence a compliment to each other.

Anil Radhakrishnan deserves an applause for the attempt. The movie evolves in a steady phase and keeps on engaging the audiance from the very begining to the end of the movie. Unlike other movies which is set in rural backrounds Sapthamashree Thaskaraha is not a feel good movie, but a gripping thriller. the simplicity id the beauty of the frames by Jayesh Nair.Rex Vijayan’s music sizzled and is hummable. Manoj Kannoth’s editing marvel in the climax sequences cannot be put down on words it shoud be seen and experienced. This is another example that tecnological and graphical gimmicks are not at all necessarry to make a good movie. Although somewhere there are certain Hollywood inspiration.

In simple terms, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha is a must watch. For fans it is another chance to see their stars in a down to earth and cunning avatar and for families it a 100% entertainment.

PLOT – SapthamaShree Thaskaraha: Malayalam Movie
Seven jail inmates, who are punished for different cases plans a robbery against a common enemy of a couple of them. Released from jail they sets out for the mission and what happens next is said in the film.

PERFORMANCE – SapthamaShree Thaskaraha: Film
Prithviraj is good as the lead and he just had to deliver a subtle performance which the character asks. Asif Ali is comfortable as a tough guy and he has got few scenes to show sum guts. Chemban Vinod Jose is hilarious as he carries the comedy part with ease. Sudheer Karamana, Nedumudi Venu, Neeraj Madhav, Salam Bukhari etc also gets importance and they are all very good. Joy Mathew is okay as the villain. Reenu Mathews and Sanusha as the female leads are good in their roles.

STORY – SCREENPLAY – DIRECTION - SapthamaShree Thaskaraha:
Story of the movie is simple. Its a wafer thin plot executed with straight and simple screenplay. But what works for the movie is this simplicity, like Anil’s previous venture North 24 Kaatham. Plus the humorous one liners and witty dialogues helps the proceeding move nicely. But there are few inevitable drags in both halves as the film revolves around a simple plot. Direction is fine. The script gives equal importance to everyone without revolving around the lead.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT – SapthamaShree Thaskaraha: Malayalam Film
Jayesh’s cinematography is flawless. Just like the film it is simple but fine. Rex Vijayan’s songs are fine and his background scores have helped the movie very much. Editing could have been better as the pace is lost in parts. But being a heist movie it does some compromises on the logic part as it takes some cinematic liberties.

ANALYSIS – SapthamaShree Thaskaraha: Malayalam Movie Review
The movie starts promisingly with some nice humours, but loses the graph with too many flashbacks. But towards interval it pauses nicely setting a decent platform to the second half. Second half is again simple, but the technical side helps it to stay steady with few smartly executed scenes like the climax. Still the length could have been trimmed a bit. Overall Sapthamashree Thaskara may not be a great film. But its a simple and easy watch like the directors previous one with more humor this time.

Well he entertained us last onam with his refreshing take through North 24 Kaatham and this time it is a witty intriguing thriller in the form of Sapthamashree Thaskaraha.Director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon takes up the familiar heist movie genre and gives a well constructed tail end that will make you whistle and clap.
As the title and trailer suggests the film is about the robbery done by 7 convicted men. As most of them had a common enemy and the rest needed something for a future, they decided to join hands and work together in this operation. How they executes this mission is the content of Sapthamashree Thaskaraha.
For those of you who have seen the oceans series and many other heist films, the ideas presented by the masterminds won’t sound like mind blowing numbers. But Anil and his writers have done a really good job in placing this story in the backdrop of our lifestyle. The conversations are practical and extremely hilarious. There is a sequence in the beginning of the movie which is almost an LMAO stuff. And throughout the film you can see this humour in every frame which helps the movie in being lively. After completing the larger portion in a very pleasing manner Anil adds that kickass tail end twist for which you just can’t resist clapping.
Prithviraj Sukumaran is in that gloomy moody shade and the character’s peak of emotion was just a smile. He succeeds in keeping that character in that mindset and that definitely boosts the adrenaline rush when it comes to the climax. Asif Ali was impressive as Shabab as he kept the character rough. Komban Vinod Jose was awesome and Neeraj Madhav was hilarious. Nedumudi Venu did his part nicely. Sudheer Karamana was funny and Salaam Bukhari was okay. Mature performance from Sanusha. Joy Mathew, Mukundan, Irshaad, Reenu Mathews and many in the cast delivered a good performance. Director Lijo Pellissery also made the meal delicious.
Anil Radhakrishnan Menon once again delivers a quality product. The fun and thrill was there in abundance that you won’t have to look into your mobile phone to check the time. Script as I said is not completely original as the techniques are familiar. But still it doesn’t test your common sense. Dialogues are witty. Nice cinematography and cuts. Loved that stunt featuring Asif Ali. Songs were good and the background music was also a quality one.
So the conclusion is that it is a highly entertaining sensible thriller filled with humour. Sapthamashree Thaskaraha gets 4/5 from my side. It looks like the bald white man is a Maveli for the industry who comes with hit films during Onam.

Sapthamasree Taskaraha – Review

Director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon’s debut directorial film North 24 Kaatham that had Fahadh Fazil playing the lead role was a winner at the box office and at the same time, it was well appreciated by most including critics. Anil is back with his second movie that has an intriguing title which I guess was selected just to create some sort of curiosity among the viewers as well as catching the attention of audiences.

Sapthamasree Taskaraha is a heist movie narrated with loads of fun and thrills. A simple and a pretty straight forward one, the film portray a mission by seven jail inmates who join together to complete this mission and this is narrated in a humorous way.

So Krishnanunni ( Pritvi), Shabab ( Asif Ali), Noble ( Nedumudi), Marty ( Chemban Vinod), Leaf Vasu ( Sudheer Karamana), Narayanan Kutty (Neeraj Madhav), and Salim ( Salam Bukhari) are good thieves and inmates in a jail who become friends and come together for completing a mission that form the basic crux of this simple thriller.

The film has more or less delivered what it promised making the output a one time watchable suspense drama and director Anil Radhakrishnan has carried his form from where he has left in his previous flick. Largely aided by a near flawless script, Sapthamasree Taskaraha adds another feather to his glittering career that is only two films old but highly promising. On the negative side, the second half is a bit too streched and lags a little due to the snail pace but that is acceptable.

In the acting department, Prithviraj, Asif Ali, Nedumudi Venu, Sudheer Karamana and Neeraj were upto the task of delivering their respective characters with ease but Chemban Vinod as Marty was the pick of the lot. Lijo Pallissery appear in a cameo but an interesting character from the film’s perspective. Joy Mathew, Sanoosha, Reenu Mathews and Mukundan is also part of the supporting casts.

Background score, cinematography and cuts were on the positive side along with sound design.

On the whole, Sapthamasree Taskaraha, a heist drama is a nice attempt and makes you sit through except for that brief period in the post intermission session. Another good movie from the director that deserves a watch

The film has a rich cast including Prithviraj, Nedumudi Venu, Asif Ali and the like. Joy Mathew, Sanusha and Reena Mathews also play significant roles in the movie

Prison is the x factor in the movie as it lays the foundation for the story.Seven jail inmates namely Kroshnanunni (played by Prithviraj),Shabad ( played by Asif Ali ),Noble ( played by Nedumudi Venu ),Marty (played by Chemban Vinod),leaf Vasu ( played by Sudheer Karamana ),Narayanan kutty (played by Neeraj Madhav ) and Salim (played by Salam Bukhari ) quickly befriend each other explaining the title. Some unwonted incidents lead them to the decision to team up so as to accomplish a lie changing mission. But they have the slightest idea about the series of surprises and unexpected turns of events are awaiting them. The film describes their journey to the particular mission.

Though the film deals with a serious plot the entire story is told in a comic manner which makes it possible to watch the movie without getting stressed. The story of the movie is not a convoluted one and therefore, everyone including children can enjoy the movie to its fullest. Anil Radhakrishnan proves through his movie that the success of his first movie was not a fluke. While treating the subject with a touch of humour, he makes sure that the comic sequences do not make the subject seem trivial in any way.

All the seven actors who play the key roles in the movie have delivered 5 star performances in the movie. In fact, Chemban Vinod and Neeraj Madhav are the two new talents that need to be recognized. The movie is an absolute amusement to watch and a good way to celebrate this festive season
