Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor to lock lips again

After locking lips in films like 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' and 'Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani', Bollywod ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to lip lock in Imtiaz Ali's 'Window Seat'.

On one side where Dippi's rumoured beau Ranveer Singh has said no to any intimate scenes with ex-girlfriend Anushka Sharma in Zoya Akhtar's next, Deepika is comfortable in shooting all kind of scenes with ex-lover Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir too is more interested in working with Deepika.

There were reports that the Kapoor lad has asked his close friend director Ayan Mujerji to sign his ex-girl Deepika instead of his girlfriend Katrina Kaif for his next film.

Ayan Mukerji is directing a superhero film in which the 'Barfie' actor is playing the lead and has asked to sign in the 'Ram-Leela' actress for the lead role. But, the filmmaker wants t sign Kat for the role.

The reason that Ranbir gave Ayan is that the audience wants to see him paired with Dips more that Katrina.

But, Ayan, who is a good friend of both Katrina and Ranbir, wants to with them together. Then why is Ranbir insisting him on signing Dippy for the role as on 'Koffee With Karan' the actor rated Kat over Dippy in acting.

Ranbir and Deepika's increasing fondness for each other can be a serious matter for Ranveer and Katrina.

Title Changed to ‘Tamasha’

Ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have again teamed up for Imtiaz Ali’s next. Initially, the movie was titled ‘Window Seat’ and it has now been changed to Tamasha. They are joining hands again in Tamasha after delivering a blockbuster hit movies ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.

Ranbir and Deepika paired together in ‘Bachne Ae Haseeno’ for the first time in 2008 when they were dating. ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ was their first film together after break-up.

Tamasha is directed by ‘Jab We Met’ director Imtiaz Ali. This is Ranbir’s second film with Imtiaz after ‘Rockstar’ and the actor had always said that he would love to work with the ‘Jab We Met’ director whenever he gets an opportunity.

Deepika Padukone confirmed her signing of Ali’s project and revealed that she was excited to team up with “great friend” Ranbir Kapoor again.

The actress told in an interview with Hindustan Times recently that the film she was allowed to talk about is Imtiaz Ali’s next in which Ranbir and she were again teaming up together. She too had said Imtiaz was one of her favourite directors. Ranbir and Deepika had given hits such as ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ in 2008 and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ in 2013.

Deepika said that she was really excited to be working on yet another film with someone who was a great friend.

After the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, seeing the wonderful on-screen chemistry between the pair, many directors were interested to rope in the success pair of Ranbir-Deepika. The duo had finally given their nod to Imtiaz Ali, with whom both have worked earlier, but separately.

When Imtiaz Ali was looking for the film’s lead lady, it was initially reported that actress Katrina Kaif was eager to do the film, but the luck has gone to Deepika.

Imtiaz Ali has once again roped in the maestro A R Rahman for the music of the film which is going to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Imtiaz Ali: Ranbir Kapoor's acting is unadulterated

Imtiaz Ali is all set to kick-start TAMASHA (earlier titled as WINDOW SEAT) with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. For someone who has worked with both actors before in ROCKSTAR and LOVE AAJ KAL respectively, one waits to see what the director has in plans for TAMASHA where he is collaborating with Sajid Nadiadwala (HIGHWAY) again.

When asked what lies ahead for him when it comes to directing Ranbir, Imtiaz says, 'When I work with Ranbir, I don't see him getting into a star mode at all. He approaches a film purely as an actor. He enjoys what he does in front of the camera and I feel that his entire approach towards acting is the most unadulterated. We saw that in ROCKSTAR and the premise of TAMASHA encourages that too.'

He is starting the film much quicker than any of his earlier films, considering the fact that he takes time between movies. What prompted him to go on floors so soon after HIGHWAY, which just released just a few weeks back?

'In fact I may always want to make a movie quickly but then sometimes it takes time. You can never have a heart of pushing a child out before it is ready to be delivered. This is the reason why I don't carry any regret that my films have arrived after gaps. The only thing that I think about before bringing a film on floors is that when people watch it in theater, they should like it,' says Imtiaz.

Going by Imtiaz's track record so far, rest assured audience would say the same for TAMASHA too when it hits the screens next year.
