Van Gaal declared his former apprentice Jose Mourinho a worthy winner.

The 63-year-old, who was Mourinho's boss at Barcelona, opened his press conference on Friday with a tribute to the Blues and their manager.
"I have sent him a (congratulatory) text already, but I don't know if the message has arrived because I know he changes his number a lot," Van Gaal said with a smile.
"But I want to wish my colleague Jose Mourinho and Chelsea congratulations on a well-deserved championship.
"When you see the statistics, you cannot doubt that they are the real champion."

Man City will learn from past mistakes on Yaya Toure's birthday - Pellegrini

MANCHESTER -- Manuel Pellegrini is considering whether to mark Yaya Toure's birthday next week by giving him a cake as he joked that Manchester City need to learn from the mistakes they made last year.
The midfielder's relations with the club became strained after his agent, Dimitri Seluk, accused City of failing to respect his client by not giving him a cake on his 31st birthday.
City actually did provide a birthday cake, and had footage to prove as much, but while Seluk said on Thursday that Toure is "90 percent" likely to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, Pellegrini is wondering how to celebrate as the Ivorian turns 32 on Wednesday.
"We will think what is the best thing for him. It is important to learn from the mistakes that you have in the past," the City managed quipped in a news conference.

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a calf problem, Louis van Gaal has confirmed.
Carrick's injury, which he sustained in the 4-2 win against Manchester City on April 12, has proved far worse than was first feared.
United have won 12 of the 16 league games Carrick has started, but only seven of the 19 he has not, and Van Gaal has admitted his absence is a blow

Three back to back defeats in his absence that put United's CL chances in Limbo

We will also lose tomo..So not safe yet..Its a surprise that the Liv owners haven't publicly supported Rodgers until now..It probably means they are keeping their cards close to their chest. I hope they are seriously thinking about Jurgen Klopp.
