for 60 minutes, no prominent striker for City. no Aguero. no Dzeko. no Jovetic. had to close the gap with Chelsea. couldn't afford any injuries with Roma coming up.
a scrappy 1-0 win courtesy a penalty. great save by hart off lukaku's scorcher. milner played a good game.
overall, other than point-table, nothing much to boast about.

Gerrard started on the bench with crucial games against FC Basel & Man Utd coming up this week...came in the 65th minute but couldn't break the deadlock
Altogether ...Sunderland deserved more than a point...a penalty ( contentious ) turned down ....Wes Brown wasted a very good chance...

maybe Liverpool were the ones to be 'lucky' this weekend!
