When came to know about this movie in the making, I must have been the most excited person. Such big talents behind the movie and my expectations were sky high

Expectations:

Writer & Director - Karthik Subbaraj's second venture after one of the best thriller happened in tamil film industry - PIZZA
Cast - Sidharth, Lakshmi Menon, Bobby Simha (One of my fav actor)
Music - Santhosh Narayan - Even though songs were not much catchy, the bgm of trailer and teaser were par excellence.
Cinematography - Gavemic U Ary - Though I didn't knew anything about this guy, trailer and teaser shots were excellent.

What I got:

Without any doubt, the first credit for Jigarthanda goes to Karthik Subbaraj. Such a brilliant script and top notch direction.
Casting couldn't get more perfect. Sidharth and Lakshmi played their characters well. But the show stealer here, none other than Bobby Simha. Simply stellar performance. And adding to the entertainment, guest appearance by Vijay Sethupathi.
Santhosh Narayan's BGM elates the mood of movie and viewers to a level that it s.
Cinematographer needs a standing avation. Awestruck with some of the frames in movie.

What the Movie has to offer:

You think it's a gangster movie, it is. But not the one you have come across. It's a totally fresh take on a gangster story. The movie offers bloody violence, mass elements to cheer for, comic elements to laugh out, suspense elements to excite and emotional elements in additional.

Those who crave for a different experience in gangster movies, can't ever miss Jigarthanda.

Even with all these positives, Jigarthanda is not devoid of flaws.

Negatives:

Lengthy. The movie duration is 2 hrs 51 mts which could have been trimmed.
Some over dramatic scenes in the second half.
Malayali viewers can certainly feel the touch of some satirical malayalam movies in this, especially in the 2nd half.

Summing up, Jigarthanda lived up to my expectations and is highly recommended.
