ഒരു ബസ് തട്ടി ആരെങ്കിലും മരിച്ചാൽ നാട്ടുകാർ ആ ബസ് തല്ലിപൊളിക്കാറുണ്ട്. അതാണ് ആ ആദിവാസി യുടെ കാര്യത്തിലും സംഭവിച്ചത്. കള്ളനെ കൈയ്യിൽ കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ നാട്ടുകാർ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തു. ബസ് തല്ലിപൊളിക്കുന്നതും ഒരാളെ (എന്ത് കാരണമായിട്ടാലും) നാട്ടുകാർ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതും, രണ്ടും ശരിയല്ല.

പറയാൻ വന്ന കാര്യം വേറെയാണ്. ഈ ആദിവാസി എന്ന സമ്പ്രദായം ഇല്ലാതാക്കാൻ ആരുമെന്തേ ശ്രമിക്കാത്തത്? അവരെ നാട്ടുവാസികളാക്കണ്ടേ? അതല്ല ഇവരെല്ലാ കാലവും പ്രാകൃത മനുഷ്യരെ പോലെ ജീവിക്കണം എന്നാണോ എല്ലാവരും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്? കാട് വന്യജീവികൾക്കുള്ളതാണ്; ആദിവാസികളും വന്യ ജീവികളാണോ?
