Kochi: In an unexpected gesture of
camaraderie, actor Mammootty has come
out offering support to actor Mohanlal
who is caught in a row over the
performance of his band 'Lalisom'
during the opening ceremony of the
National Games.
Addressing reporters here on
Wednesday, Mammootty said that people
should stop hunting down Lal in the
name of the controversy.
"We have recognised Mohanlal's talents
as an actor. He is our personal pride. He
should not be dragged into further
controversies," Mammootty said.
He added that Mohanlal should be
allowed to continue with his work.
Mammotty said that the splendour of the
Games should not be marred due to
controversies.
Meanwhile Mohanlal has reinstated his
stance that he would repay the amount
his band received for the show to the
government.
