the most exciting thing about charlie is its plot. oru freebird heroine reads or rather sees half a story and embarks on a journey to find its rest. i found this plotline very fresh. pakshe pinne angott nadakkunna story development, characterization onnum athrakk dahichilla. unni r was trying to be an urban renjith. the very character charlie seems to be a mix up of dq's own aju from bd and a typical renjith-lal character. elder vatt charactersnte koode hangout cheyunna hero. too old characternte lost love thirich kond varunna hero. oh comeon oru charming eccentric characterne create cheyunnath is one thing. oru characterne kashtapett charming,eccentric aakkunath is another. i found charlie falling in the 2nd one. padathinte flow orithiri wannabe/pretentious aanennum parayam.

production quality is very very good and music sinks in with the movie. parvathy is a very very effective artist. dulquar could bring up some charmness for the role. marana look aanu kakshi. pakshe chila scene okke kayinn poyi. poyi in the sense ichiri over aayi poyi especially kallu kudicha scenes. ee cinemele art director kureee adikam kashtapett kanum. nice anyway

ചാർലി ഒരു തേടിപ്പോകലാണ്. പ്രണയത്തെ തേടിയുള്ള യാത്ര. കഥകളിൽ കൂടി കേട്ടുകേഴ്വി മാത്രമുള്ള നായകനെ തേടി നായിക നടത്തുന്ന യാത്ര. വേഗം കൂട്ടിയും കുറച്ചും നടത്തുന്ന ആ യാത്ര ഒടുവിൽ പൂരപ്പറമ്പിലെ കൊട്ടിക്കലാശത്തിനൊപ്പം പൂത്തുലയുന്നു.
പുരുഷൻ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന മുറിയിൽ വളരെ യാദൃശ്ചികമായി താമസിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന പെൺകുട്ടി. ആ മുറിയിൽ അവൻ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പോയ ശേഷിപ്പുകൾ അവളെ അവനിലേക്ക് അടുപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അവനെന്ന ചിത്രകാരൻ വരച്ചു മുഴുമിപ്പിക്കാത്ത കഥയുടെ അന്ത്യം തേടി അവൾ യാത്ര തിരിക്കുന്നു. അതൊടുക്കം അവനെ തേടിയുള്ള യാത്രയായി പരിണമിക്കുന്നു.




വെറുമൊരു പൈങ്കിളി പ്രണയചിത്രമല്ല ചാർലി. കാമുകിയെ അന്വേഷിച്ച് പോകുന്ന കാമുക കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ ഒരുപാടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും കാമുകനെ തേടിപ്പോകുന്ന കാമുകിമാർ വിരളമാണ്. തന്നിൽ നിന്ന് ഒാടിയൊളിക്കുന്ന അവനെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ അവൾ നടത്തുന്ന ശ്രമങ്ങൾ മായാമയൂരത്തിലെ രേവതിയെ ഇടയ്ക്കെങ്കിലും അനുസ്മരിപ്പിച്ചു. അവൾ അവനെ എപ്പോൾ മുതലാണ് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു തുടങ്ങിയതെന്ന് അവൾ*ക്കോ പ്രേക്ഷകനോ പോലും മനസ്സിലാകില്ല. നിഗൂഡമായ കാന്തശക്തി അവളെ അവനിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചടുപ്പിക്കുന്നു.




ചാർലിയായി എത്തിയ ദുൽഖർ സൽമാൻ മികച്ച പ്രകടനം കാഴ്ച വച്ചപ്പോൾ പാർവതി കാഞ്ചനമാലയിൽ നിന്ന് ടെസ്സയിലേക്ക് നടത്തിയ പരകായ പ്രവേശനം അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തി. അൽപം ‘വട്ടുള്ള’ നായികാനായകന്മാരായി ഇരുവരും മികച്ചു നിന്നു. അപർണ ഗോപിനാഥ്, സൗബിൻ സാഹിർ, നെടുമുടി വേണു, ടൊവിനോ തോമസ് അങ്ങനെ നീണ്ട താരനിരയും ഒട്ടും നിരാശപ്പെടുത്തിയില്ല.









ഉണ്ണി ആർ എന്ന തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തിന്റെ കയ്യൊപ്പ് വ്യക്തമായി പതിഞ്ഞ സിനിമയാണ് ചാർലി. പതിഞ്ഞ താളത്തിലുള്ള കഥയുടെ സഞ്ചാരത്തെ മാർട്ടിൻ പ്രക്കാട്ട് എന്ന സംവിധായകൻ ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ ആവേശത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തി വിടും. ചിലയിടങ്ങളിലെങ്കിലും സിനിമയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ഇഴച്ചിൽ അനുഭവപ്പെടുമെങ്കിലും അതൊരിക്കലും പ്രേക്ഷകന്റെ ക്ഷമയെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്ന തരത്തിലാകുന്നില്ല.




ജോമോൻ ടി ജോണിന്റെ ഛായാഗ്രഹണം ചാർലിയുടെ മാറ്റ് കൂട്ടുന്നതായിരുന്നു. ഒപ്പം ഗോപി സുന്ദറിന്റെ സംഗീതവും ചിത്രത്തെ ആസ്വാദ്യകരമാക്കി. രണ്ടു ഹിറ്റ് ചിത്രങ്ങൾ സമ്മാനിച്ച മാർട്ടിൻ പ്രക്കാട്ടിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ചിത്രവും ചാർലി തന്നെയെന്ന് നിസ്സംശയം പറയാം.
ചാർലി പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന പ്രണയം വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്. ആക്ഷനും കോമഡിയും സെന്റിമെന്റ്സും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ചാർലി ഉയർത്തിക്കാട്ടുന്ന ആത്യന്തികമായ പ്രമേയം പ്രണയം തന്നെയാണ്. പ്രേമത്തിലെയും മൊയ്തീനിലെയും പ്രണയത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ച മലയാളികൾക്ക് പ്രണയത്തിന്റെ വ്യത്യസ്ത അനുവഭവം ചാർലി സമ്മാനിക്കും.
