Third installment of Hunger games is all about setting up for the finale. The movie starts from where we left off in catching fire. The katniss everdeen was rescued and wakes up in the district 13. Most of the film focuses on rebels under the leadership of president coin convincing katniss to become the Mockingjay, symbol of freedom. katniss at first is reluctant to take up the responsibility and is more concerned about the peeta and other tributes who are at capitol with snow. Later after seeing the massacre at district 12 she decides to take up the responsibility.

Rest of the movie focuses on building up the tension between district 13 and capitol. The director pretty much succeeded in building the tension and expectation but ends up leaving the audience wanting for more.

The movie was engaging in parts and focused more on the emotional journey of katniss everdeen. Jennifer lawrence once again came up with a convincing performance as katniss everdeen. she emoted the vulnerability and intensity of katniss with penache. All other lead cast did their job well and pretty much is the reason for making it a watchable movie.

But the movie hasn't gone too far as the story is concerned. Actions sequences which were a pivotal part of first two hunger games, even though made in larger canvas is scarce for my liking. Adding to that the sudden ending has left the people wanting more.

All in all Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 is a watchable flick if you are a ardent fan of Hunger Games or Jennifer Lawrence. For others it is fine to watch it later in DVD and wait for the finale.

Innale njan ee padam kandu..I was a big fan of earlier two parts..but this one was completely a different genre...This a drama movie..there isn't any action or games sequence neither the movie is thrilling at any part..I don't recommend this movie to anyone...Just watch after bluray or dvd is released...
