    "A Typical Sundar.C Entertainer With Zero Brains"

    As expected,Aambala turned out to be a mindless mass masala entertainer with elements of humor,action,drama,romance & sentiments packed rather engagingly by the master of entertainers,Sundar.C.The age old screenplay lacks freshness of any sort,but manages to keep the audience engaged till the end,thanks to the rib-tickling element of humor with Santhanam in front,peppy music by Hip-Hop Tamizha,an energetic performance from Vishal & neat narration by Sundar.

    The humor component deserves a special mention as not even a single number backfired & generated unanimous laughs from the audience of all sections alike.The chemistry between Vishal & Santhanam cameout really good & their combination sequences make up the best part of the movie.

    The gravity-defying stunts that reminds of Rohit Shetty & Hari films,cliched family sentiments,drama & evident loopholes in the screenplay may make Aambala a disappointing encounter for atleast a good number of viewers who give prime importance to a sensible storyline.

    Performancewise,Puratchi Thalapathy was at his best with his tardemark style action,dialogue delivery & dance,in a role tailor-made for him.Santhanam excelled with some really hilarious sequences that evoked laughs at multiple occasions through the narration.Hansika doesn't had much to perform,but played her part well.Prabhu,Vaibhav Reddy,Kiran,Madhurima etc gave good support.

    Music by Hip-Hop Tamizha is refreshing & the lively numbers have come out really well on screen.The songs were placed at right junctures without affecting the pace of the naration.

    Overall,Aambala is a cliched masala pot-boiler targetted at the mass section of the audience.

    Performances::
    ___________
    *Vishal gave a masculine performance,justifying the title.
    *Santhanam was hilarious.
    *Hansika Motwani pulled off her typical Tollywood heroine role quiet well.
    *Prabhu was ok.
    *Vaibhav,Madhurima Bannerjee,Maadhavi Latha,Remya Krishnan etc did their part well.

    Some +Ves ::
    _________
    *Hilarious Humor Element.
    *Combination Scenes Between Vishal & Santhanam.
    *Songs.
    *Direction.

    Some -Ves::
    ___________
    *Logicless Screenplay Without Any Novelty.
    *Over-The-Top Action Sequences.

    Verdict::Sundar.C & mass entertainers-the two words go hand in hand.Eventhough a rehash of numerous masala entertainers in the past,Aambala manages to keep us enterained with hilarious humor,energetic performances,uber cool music & intriguing narration by Sundar.Keep your logic outside & enjoy this brainless ride,if you have a taste for such mindless entertainers.
