Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam provides fun and laughs, but also meaningful thoughts on life and how we choose to live it, along with a remarkable lead performance you'll want to root for. While the film's technical prowess gives the audience much to digest from scene to scene, the film largely succeeds on the strength of its cast.
This is a bold and abstract movie, the kind that takes aesthetic and thematic risks, and that grabs you from frame one and practically screams at you to pay attention. It may not be the top of the line for filmmaker LJP, but Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam still makes for compelling material when viewing.
