Box Office Report - 2015

Keeping the trend of recent years, mollywood witnessing large number of movies flooding the theaters.Interestingly tamil superstar movies getting 100 theaters and above for release whereas even malyalam superstar movies not able to get that many. Picket 43 released in January went on to become above average grosser. Fireman released in february kept theatres alive despite the offseason due to exam period and cricket world cup and turned out as the first hit of 2015.100 Days of love starring Dulquer released 2 weeks before vacation and took the best opening day collection but could not sustain collections due to the subject. Next came lalettan vs nivin battle at the box office and oru vadakkan selfie turned out as the absolute winner and already collected mega hit range while ennum eppozhum could not impress the majority and critics, the film is doing average business. Dileep's maryadaraman came targeting vishu box office but no luck, then came Mammootty starrer Bhaskar The Rascal which took record opening day collection for a malayalam movie after Bangalore Days and doing great at box office.
