first thing naan parnjathu Drishyam collection 2 crore ennanu 306 shwsil ninnu 46.72 lakh nediyal 1134 shows il ninnu 1.75 crore nedum .
Pinne my contenetion wa that average collection from non BOI centres is higher than BOI centres, because non BOI centres have higgher average houseful collection as Drishyam released in small screen at multiplex in BOI .
2 crore is around 14% higher than 1.75 crore.
If you look at weighted average weekend houseful collection (shows in multiplex by average weekend houseful collection) at multiplex in BOI for Drishyam it is around 35,000.
sumproduct(shows*weekend houseful collection )/sum shows
If you look at non boi weekend collection cenres you mentioned 200 show in Galaxy paradise, there during drishyam time houseful collection was 14,400 a (ticket rate was lower at 120 rs now its 150, Drishyam played in bigger 120 seater).
if i takeweighted average houseful collection for 290 show of galaxy paradise and innovative (70 shows houseful collection 78 ,000 ticket rate was 50RS higher during Drishyam time) the average comes to 32,000.
So a a big theatre like innovative with 1/3rd shows of Galaxy manage to negate the impact of the small theatre in terms of average houseful collection
Now take Sandeep and Sangeeth there were 119 shows in Sangeeth and 84 in Sandeep. Since i have nevere visiteed these theatres i dont hve mutch idea about them (tried calling theatre no answer), but from BOI i got sangeeth blcony collection as 44,400 assuming same for first class collection comes to 88,000 for Sandeep I have assumed 20,000 so weighted average of these come to 60,000.
If I take weighted average houseful collection of these 4 centres (500 of total 835 shows outside BOI ) it comes to 42,000
among other big theatres Gopalan cinemas bannerghata comes to 60,000 Gopala grand mall comes to 40,000 aveage 50,000 98 shows .
ithinte ellam engane nookiyalum total weekend houseful collection of non boi centres will come to above 40,000.
Even if you assume 40,000 the weighte verage houseful collection is 14% more than boi centre average of 35,000.
Now if you try to determin the collection of 1134 from 300 shows there will be a lot of subjectivity involved, you have assumed 1.5 crore and I have assumed 2 crore, fair enough here i come back to the population theory bangalore enikku ariyam ellarum Drishyam kandu my collection assume only 15% of bangalore malayalles have seen Drishyam which i think is an underestimation. Drishyam had rock steady attendance till the 6th week. engana nookiyalum 2 crore collection vannitondu. Pakshe we will all believe what we want to believe
