Borussia Mgladbach - 1 - 2 - Manchester City
one of the most thrilling matches i have seen recently. statistics: city had 26 attempts on goal with 7 on target while borussia had 15 attempts with 6 on target. shows the intensity of the match. if not for the heroics by joe hart (which includes saving a penalty like the time he denied messi long back) and the poor chance-conversion rate of aguero, the score should have been something like 6-5 in favour of City. end-to-end thriller of a match. went down in the 54th minute. and then, sheer grit and determination shown by City. the last 30 minutes, City bled their heart out to seal a victory. feel like this victory should bring back out mojo. the juventus loss put us on a spin, this win should put us back on track. injuries are still a concern. toure and silva passed late fitness tests but were pulled out during 0-0. bruyne played a good game.
"It was a strange game. With 65 minutes played, both teams had chances to score. After that, we really dominated and made chances"
"They played better than us, especially defensively because we didn't defend well but after that, we had a strong reaction for the last 30 minutes and finally we won the game. I must say Borussia played very, very well. We knew before the game they’re a very fast team and they’re able to recover metres between midfield and their box."
"Joe Hart made brilliant saves but we also had chances that we didn't score. Maybe after 65 minutes, Borussia could have been winning 3-2, or it could have been 3-3 or 4-4. There were so many chances."

Neymar: Barcelona 'suffered a lot' in comeback victory over Leverkusen
Barcelona star Neymar said an unhappy Camp Nou atmosphere made it "more difficult" to come back to beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 in Tuesday's Champions League Group E clash.
The Camp Nou crowd grew increasingly disgruntled as Roger Schmidt's tactically excellent Bayer side were 1-0 up deep into the second half against a Barca side already missing injured star Lionel Messi and who had lost Andres Iniesta to another injury.
Sergi Roberto (80) and Luis Suarez (82) turned the game on its head.
As it seemed like Bayer were set for a famous victory, supporters in the stadium began to whistle home players including goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegen and defender Jeremy Mathieu, and even sideways passes from long-serving stalwarts like Sergio Busquets were barracked.

Now it's Brendan's turn
Brendan Rodgers: Premier League needs to help English clubs in Europe
LIVERPOOL -- Brendan Rodgers has called on the Premier League to do more to help English teams succeed in European competition.
Defeats for Arsenal and Chelsea on Tuesday mean that England's clubs have lost five of the six matches they have played in the Champions League this season.
No Premier League team made it beyond the competition's round of 16 last season, while no English side has reached the final since Chelsea won it in 2012.
Liverpool manager Rodgers feels that the competitive nature of the Premier League can wear teams out ahead of big European games, but he also feels that the league's management could do more to schedule fixtures to help English clubs.
He pointed to the decision of the Portuguese football authorities to allow FC Porto to move last weekend's scheduled fixture at Moreirense forward to a Friday night to give them an extra day to prepare for Tuesday's Champions League home game against Chelsea, which they won 2-1.
Rodgers said: "I think the Premier League can do more to support the teams in Europe. It happens with other federations in other countries. They really help, but it doesn't happen in this country.
"The physicality of the Premier League is like no other. In other countries, some of the big teams in Europe can change five, six, seven players and still win."
