Not directing Mammootty - Mohanlal film: Udayakrishna
Recently, a rumour about Mohanlal and Mammoottyreuniting for a movie, scripted and directed by Udayakrishna, had created a lot of buzz. However, the scriptwriter tells us that such a project had "not even popped up in his imagination".
"Both Anto Joseph and Anthony Perumbavoor, who are reported to be producing the movie, are big producers and they would announce it in a big way if such a project is happening. It's a fake news created by someone and what it does is strain good relationships within the industry," says Udayakrisha, who had also scripted Pulimurugan.
He is miffed with the rumours, which he claims that he found out only after he was flooded with calls verifying the news. "Both Mohanlal and Mammootty are big actors that we all want to work with. When people create such news, in reality they are also in some way burning bridges that a lot of people have worked hard to build in this industry," he says.
The scriptwriter tells us that he is currently scripting a project with Mammootty in the lead. "The movie will have him as a college lecturer. The script is almost complete and we hope to start shooting for the movie next year," he says.
Udayakrishna also informs that he has projects with Dileep and Jayaram. "I have committed to write the scripts for the movies but I will start work only after the Mammootty movie is done," he signs off.
