In Karnataka government, audience and the associations support Kannada movies. So they are growing. But here Associations support Tamil movies and present govt is least bothered.
In which state can you tolerate Malayalam movies getting maximum record of 140 screens and every big Tamil movie getting 200 screens? Of course this might happen in states like Orissa and Gujarat and Bengal where there is no developed film industry but should not happen in a full fledged industry like Malayalam.
The only positive thing here is that very few Tamil movies have crossed 15 crore collection in the long run. Long run is always still for Malayalam with 40 crores 50 crores etc. A superhit film collects 20 crores. So it proves that our films success is mainly on the basis of quality and not by support.
