The truth is that not all exhibitors but only very few including liberty basheer are interested in screening non malayalam films. Another interesting fact is that no other non malayalam actor or movie except for vijay or Suriya have a humongous market in Kerala. Not even king khans.
So more than other language it is these three superstars rajnikanth vijay and Suriya. From that you cannot presume that kerala is a good market for other language films. Once vijay Suriya is gone in Kerala market other language market too is gone.
For example when theri was released varsha and varsha royal suite set an example by not accepting theri and playing king liar and jacobinte... with all shows house full. They openly admitted that they don't need a Tamil film
