Filmmaking involves hardwork, sweat and livelyhood of thousands or maybe even lakhs of workers ranging from actors to technicians . What impact is it going to make on covid spread if they introduce second shows because most of the people who have work will be free only by then? There are festivals , political processions and marriage functions now as it used to be there before covid . Wont covid spread through all these? Why this restriction only for movies? If they want to restrict only movies then they should not allow marriages with more than 50 people. Is anyone following masks and social distancing now? I agree that immoral activities are there all over the world but the difference is that they are all more business friendly (be it movies, any other industry) than in Kerala .

who said people here are not wearing masks and not following social distancing? to a great extent, restrictions are being followed. you say about festivals, let me remind you of attukala ponkala? why were women worshipping the goddess in the confines of their homes? why didn't these women stage a secretariat protest demanding that they should be allowed to gather at the temple? why has thrissur pooram officials restricted the number of elephants and followers? why has parumala church bought restrictions in the number of devotees allowed inside? so, restrictions are there. about marriage functions, there is restriction of 100 people at a time. most marriages are being conducted on shift basis now, that too in auditoriums where there is ample ventilation. theatre halls are forcing people to stay inside which is more riskier. i don't know the reason but right from the start of the pandemic, night activities have been restricted. all i see is, with the implementation of restrictions, the daily TPRates have come down from 12 to 4 per day right now. i am not saying the restriction on second show is the only reason but it is possible that could also be a reason. i am not saying restrictions are followed right down to the T, but some are bothered about it and some are not.
