yes. The theatres are losers. But everyone blames them for not exhibiting lfilms like Janaki Jane or Anuragam which runs to empty houses and screen only 2018. But they should also think of their welfare when everyone are smart enough to protect their own interests.
Everyone expects theatres to be service minded towards small films .

Most of the malayalam film producers are being selfish by selling films with an ott window between 28 and 35 days.
They have no loyalty to theatres as they are only trying to think about getting their side safe & not at all thinking about theatres who screen their film irrespective of the quality.
Kerala theatres should come to a decision where they will only screen film with a longer ott window like how bollywood does. They have to stand firm on this decision irrespective of the actor or the production house.
A film that collected more than 3 Crores this weekend is all set to premiere on Wednesday is not a good thing for the trade.
There is no point in running to the ott platform after succeeding in theatres. This has to be done before the release.

Theatres under FEUOK , where most of the theatres belong , will stop screenings of #2018Movie after June 6th second shows as the movie will be premiered on ott on June 7.
Other theatres will be screening the film irrespective of ott release.
Sad reality is that the film performed well this weekend also 😔

All theatre associations to conduct a common meeting today to discuss the early ott window in Malayalam cinema.
Planning to ask for delayed ott windows than current 28 to 35 days , what most of the movies do.
If producers continue to give films for early ott windows, strong actions might be taken which can even get extended to ban for their own productions and also their other language distribution films
