Kaadu Pookkunna Neram to start filming in Feb
Dr. Biju will start filming his next movie Kaadu Pookkunna Neram in February first week. The movie has Indrajith and Rima Kallingal in the lead.
Indrajith had earlier told us the film revolves around a sensitive real-life issue and will have him play the role of a police constable.
This is the third time the actor and director are collaborating after Veettilekkulla Vazhi and Akasathinte Niram. Dr Biju's last directorial venture was Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal, which had Kunchacko Boban in the lead.

After playing a deputy police commissioner in Rajesh Pillai's Vettah, Indrajith is all set to don the khaki again this year in Dr Biju's Kaadu Pookkunna Neram.
The film, which also has Rima Kallingal, has him teaming up with the director for the third time after their critically-acclaimed movies Veettilekkulla Vazhi and Akasathinte Niram.
On his role in the upcoming film, the actor tells us, "I play a police constable in the movie, which has most of its story unfolding in a forest." Indrajith emphasises that it will be "a tougher character to play" compared to their previous two ventures. While he enacted the role of a terrorist in Veettilekkulla Vazhi, he portrayed a young burglar in Akasathinte Niram.
Dr Biju had earlier told us that Kaadu Pookkunna Neram would deal with a sensitive human rights issue and the actor maintains it, not divulging much about the plot other than that "it has a socially-relevant subject at its core".
Indrajith shares that it's the focus on such stories that makes him collaborate with the two-time National Award winning director. "All his recent films including Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal have highlighted social issues. Even though there aren't many dialogues, each character passes through a range of emotions. That presents a lot of scope for actors," he says.
For the actor, who was part of last year's commercial hit Amar Akbar Anthony, it also presents another opportunity to be part of "realistic cinema".
"With my share of commercial films, I often don't get time to be part of offbeat ventures as much as I would like to. But such movies always challenge me as an actor as I get to do subtle but impactful roles," he says.
