Kammattipaadam Review -- Must Watch!!!

Watched Kammattippadam with my father- 9:40 AM Cinepolis -- 50-60%!!

Narration :-

• Rajiv Ravi chose an extreme difficult but an effective path of 3 parallel threads to depict the story --
  
  • one running with present status
  • second running from DQ childhood
  • and 3rd running from his search for Ganga

• The film stresses 3 important points
  
  • Courage makes the real gangsters
  • Once you are into the world of gangsters, you cannot get out even u wish to do
  • How bad the gangsters are - they have a real good side too

Pluses:-

• Characters -- All actors gave excellent performances, even actors with very less screen time did extremely well -- DQ, Vinayakan & Manikandan stands out - Vinayakan had given performance of lifetime & haunts even after the film! DQ had done minute level acting in this!! Even recommends second watch for analysis detail and depth of each characters - there are plenty relevant characters in the film & correlating all are not easy in first watch.
• Direction -- He goes same path as that of his previous films. But this is much more complex to direct but he did very very convincing.
• BGM -- From the first shot till end it drives the film. All need to watch the film in good theater.
• Cinematography -- You can see beauty of village, Courage and fears, Mumbai to EKM frame to frame...
• Realistic plot -- The reality of the scenes are kept perfect even in climax...which is surely big plus!
• Realistic action & High octane shots -- DQ jail action scenes, Manikandan - Saubin scene, Sequence starting with Trying to kill person who is responsible for death of Manikandan, Ganga escape sequence, pre climax action (the action sequence in which DQ reaches the house of the person responsible for Manikandan's death), Climax
• Climax

Negatives:-

• May be little bit drag towards end of first half.

Rating:-

• 4.5/5 & Thumbs up for the brilliant realistic gangster plot - Must watch for those who love good film!!

Box office:-

• May turn to hit maximum - not everyone's cup of tea!!
