Kayamkulam Kochunni - Got to say that Roshan failed in his experiment with historical movie.... movie was approached like a comic book adaptation rather than going in depth, it was a shallow one...
can’t compare with OVVG or pazhassi. Nivin pauly tried his best but his initial look was that of njandu movie, he should have shed some weight to portray the youth portion of kochunni… the bandit portions were okayish … Mohanlal’s Pakki injected some much needed energy, still he looked like a cow boy or somebody from a western movie… other supporting cast were average to poor, sunny wayne was a miscast, … there was a serial with manikuttan as lead, must say it was gold compared to this movie…. This movie may appeal to kids, families thereby rake in a lot of money but the movie didn’t justify the legend…. Rating – 2.25/5…..
