EXPECTATIONS

I personally carry huge expectations on every Lal sir movie and it has been a habit since ages since I watch all his movies on FDFS no matter where I am.

CROWD

THE WORD IS ELECTRIFYING! ! !

DIRECTION & SCRIPT.

Vysakh knows the game well and is turning out to be a mass director. A better script could have brought out more potentials in him.

Really wish if the makers, actors and everyone associated gives more importance to script. To be frank, udays script is the weakest link in Puli Murugan. A fan based theme had come out, I feel that had better potential than this script. It is very clear that he has not invested much time writing this script like his previous movies.

MUSIC, CAMERA, EDITING,

Music department doesn’t impress at all. The back ground music is fine to an extend and could have been better.

Camera work was top notch in some scenes, decent in few but felt that it was not up to the mark in action sequences.

Editing could have been better with tight trimming of many scenes which would have made the movie more crisp.

Computer graphics has met the expectations given the fact it is a Malayalam movie and trolls would have been a galore if this department had failed.
All other technical department excells.

ACTION

The makers have made complete use of Peter Hein and to be frank couple of action scenes looks forced in to make use of the huge amount paid to him. It is going to be a all new action experience for malayalees.

PERFORMANCES

Lal sir proves yet again that he is king of box office and how he can change an average stuff to blockbuster level. Hats off sir…you were running around like a 30 year old.

The kid who played Lal sir’s child hood has done an excellent job.

Kamalinee Mukherjee - A brilliant actress, but fails totally due to lip movement issues, it just doesn’t sync and is visible throughout.. Not sure why the makers are going for other language heroines when they can easily find out good heroines from mollywood itself.

So many characters are wasted throughout the movie and have not been used to their full potential. Better casting could have been worked out from mollywood itself.

Lal is decent. Vinu Mohan, Bala does better than expected.

Suraj irritates and removing the 10 – 15 minutes Namitha mess will only help the movie.

CROWD RESPONSE & VERDICT

A movie tailor made for fans from scene one to climax and the response was just unbelievable.

I would say the makers haven’t made use of the huge budget, neither does Puli Murugan look like a 25 crore movie.

A little more responsibility, hard work from the writer could have given us a movie that we could proudly show to the world.

For me, I hope Puli Murugan collects well post Pooja holidays and becomes a blockbuster.

3.5 / 5 - For the legend, Lal Sir…..keep on mesmerizing us…that’s what you are born for.

Correct review macha.. Lal super ayirinnu family scenes ozhich nirthiyal.. entho as u said 25 Crores pole thonnila.. 2 Padam kanda feel action scenes and other normal scenes.. Ota takil ok paranja pole normal scenes and look like normal ദിലീപ് udayakrishn movie.. Matte action bayankara perfectionum..

Please do not consider this as an negative review from my side....it is just my views and is watchable. I expected a little more given the fact so much hard work was involved in it.

I felt it was a missed opportunity to show that mollywood can make top class movies in good budgets.

100 crore looks very far from reach....I really hope it does.

PULIMURUGAN just proves one thing...how Lal sir can pull in crowds with an average or above average movie.

Watch and experience it.
