as much as i would like to support you on that, believe me, i have met some really interesting characters who are deeply devout. they find time & energy to keep their daily appointments with the divine. you just can't shake them let alone topple them. they are not weak like you mentioned. they have not been grappled by worldly tragedies. in the prime of all successes possible, they believe in god.

A man with 23 personalities kidnaps 3 girls ..... That's the premise ...
The movie details about DID (Dissociative identity disorder) and goes beyond the normal parameters ... Camera, BGM, acting etc are really good .... It is the story that is not upto mark.
I've read a similar story and believed that this is the movie adaptation .... Unfortunately it is not ... The story I read was good, it was brilliant. Split, on the other hand, is an avg fare. But like other movies of Shyamalan this movie also has hidden depths .... In short, watching this won't be a complete waste of time.

Thought: There are super hero universes, monster universe etc. out there ... Is Shyamalan be creating his own universe now...??

What's your interpretation about the climax?

I Guess it was a revenge on Susan for destroying his career as well as aborting their child . Rape and murder of Tony's daughter in the novel must be symbolizing the abortion . He sends a disturbing Novel and all of a sudden Susan thinks that what he did to Edward was cruel and she wanted to patch up with him . But Edward ignores him without showing off at the restaurant . What better revenge than that to somone who ignored him in his life . Adyam kandapo enilkum kure doubts undarnu .
