THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. wow! black comedy at its finest. never has tragedy seem more comic. a distraught mother rents three billboards by the road-side and puts up a message seeking the attention of the town and its police force towards the unsolved murder of her daughter. then you have the upright town sheriff to whom the message is addressed, who is suffering from cancer but is ready to take on the mother. then you have the racist nigger-hating comic-book loving momma's boy police officer who is on the force just to have his way with the guys he hate. these are the three main characters played to perfection by Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and the star and my fav character of the movie, Sam Rockwell. on top of that, you have some really cracking humor, strong emotions and a script that sort of makes you go guessing from the start, okay so who's the good here? who's the bad? is it really about investigating the murder? or does it simply say that redemption has its price. happy that all the three main leads have notched up academy award nominations. after seeing the movie, i checked out the director and wasn't surprised. same guy did two movie i really enjoyed, 'in bruges' and 'seven psychopaths'. no wonder! hope he gets the oscar for best screenplay, which i feel is the strongest billboard in this movie. highly recommended. one of the best movies i saw recently.

    Black Panther

Marvel's yet another breathtaking triumph, that's Black Panther for you.The jaw-dropping action, exhilarating soundtracks, and a visually sumptuous narrative, the film is indeed crafted with all the quintessential features needed for an MCU flick, but what makes this even more impressive is its emotionally gripping premise.Well the latest venture by MCU is nothing short of blockbuster entertainment, and Oh Boy Black Panther is one of Marvel's finest.

    Marvel does it again
