Raw,Gritty and Entertaining,Angamaly Diaries is a delightful watch.This film is an absolute unique stuff,may it be the spectacular making or the pitch perfect technical aspects,everything sets a bar which is both unconventional and of high standards.Lijo's splendid making blended with the honest performances churned this to be an outstanding cinema.The authenticity which the film carries is indeed due to the fabulous cast comprising of about 86 newcomers.Every actor performed earnestly,even the faces appearing for a few minutes showcased immense talent.Personally,it was Anthony Vargheese who did the role of Vincent Pepe impressed me the most.His charming look and impeccable fineness in the performance was enough to prove that he is a talent to watch out for.Appani Ravi,U-Clamp Rajan,Lichi and Kunjooty were other striking performers.The characterization was simply brilliant,with each character given a distinct nature and a quirky name,most of them were memorable.

On the technical front,Angamaly Diaries is one among the recent best.Kudos to Girish Gangadharan for his wonderful work with the camera.Angamaly was realistically captured in his lens,the frames appeared so natural and unvarnished.The 11 minute single shot climax is doubtlessly a daring attempt,the whole sequence was stupendously executed.Prashanth Pillai's fresh and pacifying tunes was superb,his collaboration with Lijo always bring out some fine musical tracks.The synchronous bgm is another plus point,it was used adequately.Chemban Vinod skillfully depicted the chronicling events that takes place in the lives of Angamaly natives with utmost realism and engaging factors.

From Nayakan to Angamaly Diaries,Lijo is undoubtedly a director who grows by each cinema.None of the his crafts share anything in common and it is one of Lijo's greatest strength as a filmmaker.There will be something unconventional in all his directorial ventures and Angamaly Diaries is no exception.The basic plot may have some usual situations that come across a movie of this genre,but what makes this extremely entertaining is indeed the way in which Lijo has crafted this cinema.In short,just like the tagline says,this is a hardcore local flick.

Overall,Angamaly Diaries is a Great Watch !
