seriously! if your guys hadn't given freedom to messi for first hour like you say, tell me what is it that happened or that particular incident that your defenders decide to let off their guard? when the ball bounced off the post, you could see the 75m POTY standing frozen like an iceberg... fact is barca gave more respect to liverpool than required. they thought, liverpool are said to be doing some things in the league, they might put up a fight, they would do something and all... nothing of the sort happened... typical english play, long ball into opposition box hoping the trio gets it... barca's back 4 made sure that would not happen... barca took on liverpool as cool as possible, snuffing out all of your advances which was evident in the manner your players started to play dirty later on... its not that your guys defended messi, its that messi decided to unleash himself in the later stages... and when he did, whoo! what a sight it was to behold...

i was the first to react over here after the match... that should quell your nothing-worthy-to-say doubt about whether i watched the match or not... expecting to believe a 6+ foot high would be unable to atleast make an attempt to clear that in his own area that too at such a short distance away, come on, gimme a break... the only mode of attack i saw from klopp was long balls, since you say there were detailed pass ones involving not only the playing XI but everyone from klopp to the ball boy; i will believe you though i saw nothing of the sort... let me give you what i saw... barca just wanted a 1 goal lead; for them more important was not to concede... they sat back and nullified each and every long ball attempt by liverpool... the change in the match was when semedo was bought in at the 60th minute, that move was all it took to block liverpool's fluidity... and started barca to take control of the match... try seeing the replay or highlights if possible, you will see the difference in barca's approach to the game before and after the 60 minute mark...
