    Ms. Marvel (2022)

    Being woke without actually being woke.

    It doesn't reinvent superhero TV, but it does give the genre a necessary jolt with a remarkably stylish narrative, pertinent themes, and a star-making performance from Iman Vellani. Though the show lacks the depth of WandaVision or the far-reaching implications of Loki, Ms. Marvel is a refreshing change of pace for the MCU.

    Superbly sets the stage for The Marvels.
