The only person who can pull off larger than life characters among malayalam youngsters is prithvi. Urban mass roles venengil dq cheyyam but he also hasn't done it convincingly yet... Otherwise only prithvi can do it.

I think Prithvi easily can, remember the portrayal of masculinity onscreen depends heavily on the script and direction. In the right hands Prithvi will excel.

Even Big Ms had plenty of failures and troll worthy roles, in flopped mass movies. I don't think Kaduva is a good movie, the only saving grace is Prithvi's potraval of Kuriyachan followed by the music, every other department is a disappointment. If not for Prithvi's convincing performance or any other young actor, this movie would have bombed easily.

The issue is the best directors in Malayalam cinema currently are not interested or focussing on the mass genre, the ones who do are simply mediocre directors like SK, Bunni, Omar Lulu types etc.... Kaduva in the hands of directors like Joshiy, Prithvi, Sachy etc... it would easily have doubled the Box office success.

you actually realize what kind of league BigMs and even SG was at. I think we just took them for granted and thought this was
stuff any actor can or are capable of doing. But now we realize that's not the case.

I think there won't be any more actors - that will come in the future - that can come close to Big Ms and Sg when it comes to the mass genre, especially how it was in the 90s.
