I think career break is very important for everyone, especially, if you are in a profession which you are not passionate about. I always make it a point to have a short gap while switching jobs. This should be normalized. Obviously you need to have a short term financial back up but that you have to plan accordingly. Sometimes you need to go with your gut. Like the break in 2021, i knew i had reached a stage where i could not take it any longer and quit without a new offer. Thankfully when i had decided to work again, the same company reached out for a new team. Anxiety okke undavum pakshe ente experienceil parayam ..something better will always come your way. As for the cultural thing, yes, the HR always expect you to be working non stop and doesn't understand the idea of career break but that you have to play accordingly.
