Quality content ishtapedunna oru puthiya thalamura undu ippo. Avar aanu target audience.

And since the genre is horror baaki okke immaterial aanu.

Horror means it should be real horror and not jump scares. Athil vijayichal padam blockbuster aavum

It made profit to the producer because of low budget . And both the movies were well picturised. Songs and visuals and scenery were an added attraction in both movies .

In Neelathamara original there were no songs and in original Rathi the songs were not as good as the remake

Rathinirvedham and neelathamara were never big hits. When the industry was at a bleak phase, cheriye budget il cheythe movies. I think they were average at best in the box office..
The saving grace was that it did some justice to the original.
