Default Pappan an emotional family thriller

    Theatre :- Thripunithura Central Kochi

    Status:- Looks like almost full

It is the story of an ex policeman whose help is sought out by police department to investigate a series of killings and how it gets connected with his family and life forms the main crux of the story. The main characters here is Mathan Abraham played by Suresh Gopi and ASP Vincy played by Poomaram fame Neetha Pillai.

There are lots of plots and subplots connected with this story but the director and the screenwriter has handled the screenplay in such a way that we do not get confused in a single scene.

Frame , visuals and cinematography are top notch and it looks like the movie has high production values.

For the performances most of the screentime is for SG and Neetha. Regarding the others some of them have given great performances but if I say the names it will be a spoiler

Negatives:- At times illogical but at the end of day this film is meant to entertain . And too much of bloodshed and violence specially some scenes relating to post mortem may keep away family audience but that is really required for the story . Gokul Suresh is another negative . This character was not required in the movie at all in my opinion. Acting too not upto the mark

Box office:- Sure shot hit among youth and those who love thrillers but as I earlier said families may not enjoy so much because of too much of violence or blood shed.

    My rating :-3.5/5...

Thanks for the review. Movies like KGF and Vikram with too much blood shed ran well in Kerala theaters. I think it is predominantly the youth who is going to the theaters, they don't care about the blood shed and violence.
