Kantara (2022)

Far from a masterpiece, but a solid film nonetheless.

Kannada cinema is poised at the cusp of something great right now. Interesting indies are being made, rooted stories are being told with remarkable technical finesse, and commerical potboilers are setting the cash registers ringing. Kantara, helmed by a terrific Rishabh Shetty, is a flawed, uneven, yet fairly entertaining mix of everything.

PS: Not worth the hype, at least for me :)
