Interpretation to the viewer. The prostitute girl was the one Dileep disliked, so Luke protects her and gives money.

Sharafu had every chance to dislike Dileep as he had a crush on Grace. Sharafu Amma was telling that. So he had every chance to dislike Dileep. Thats why Luke did not give Sharafu bad treatment even if Sharafu tried to attack Luke.

I think the probable reason for not showing detailed scene on white room torture is that it didn't come out well as they might have hoped for... Since it was discussed a lot, they had to fit it somewhere and just made a passing shot..

For all the justification in not spoon feeding, this would have been a completely new experience for us if properly shown . And would only have added to the positives
