RDX (2023)
Malayalam cinema has been lacking in action-packed spectacles, but RDX, directed by debutant Nahas Hidayath, is here to change that. This solid action thriller is a breath of fresh air and will definitely be loved by the masses. While the plot of the film may seem generic and predictable, with familiar beats and turns, RDX more than makes up for it with its exceptional action set-pieces.
Shane, Anthony, and Neeraj delivered exceptional performances, showcasing their finesse and athletic prowess. However, it was Anthony who truly stood out with his dynamic screen presence, captivating the audience with his charisma and energy. Even Neeraj surprised viewers with his impressive performance in a couple of massy sequences, proving his versatility as an actor. Each of these talented individuals brought their unique strengths to the table. Babu Anthony's brief yet impactful appearance left the audience in awe as he effortlessly brought the house down.
RDX may not be a groundbreaking cinema, but it is the quintessential theatrical experience that deserves to be seen on the best possible screen, especially during this festival season.
Ramachandra Boss & Co (2023)
Nivin Pauly and Haneef Adeni's latest collaboration, Ramachandra Boss & Co, is forgettable. While it's an improvement from their previous work, Michael, the heist comedy lacks any standout moments and ultimately falls flat.
King of Kotha (2023)
The highly anticipated movie, King of Kotha, has been the buzz of the town for quite some time. Being a devoted fan of Dulquer, I was eagerly anticipating his appearance in a full-fledged commercial film. Although Dulquer's performance is so captivating that it demands attention, the movie fails to deliver, with only a few impactful moments scattered throughout.
